After your contract is accepted, and you’re moving forward in the process, you’ll need to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) to the escrow company within 3 business days. This will act as a “deposit” on your intent to purchase the home and will be applied to your down payment at closing.

 

You will get a document from escrow and your Realtor telling you how to deposit the EMD.  It typically is as easy as calling your bank and giving them an account name and number.  We always recommend calling the escrow company before make the transfer to confirm all account info.

You will then get a receipt of your EMD deposit.  Once you get that please forward it to your Realtor and escrow.
