You’ve got your clear to close, and we’ve scheduled your final walkthrough. This usually takes place about 5 days before closing. This is your chance to make sure the home is in the same shape as it was when you first looked at it. This isn't the time to measure the house and pick paint colors.  It should take no longer than 30 minutes.

Here are a few things you should check during your final walkthrough:

1. Make sure the repairs have been made (if necessary)..

2. Make sure there were no damages made while the sellers were moving out.

3. Make sure that anything that was agreed to be left in the home is still there.

4. Don’t expect the home to be spotless, the sellers just moved.  We always recommend bring in a cleaning crew before you move in. 

5. Ask for any manuals the sellers might have for the appliances and fixtures.

The final walk-through is not the time to:

1. Have your friends, parents, and contractors to see the property.  Save that for after closing. 

2. You still do not own the home so you CAN'T leave anything in it yet.
